Fixed
- Mines with a Supply Crane can now save automation and contract progress throughout their extra offline time, including the full 20-hour allowance.
- Your progress
- Your saved progress and upgrades are kept. Offline earnings still use your existing allowance, including your Supply Crane bonus.
- What you need to do
- If your mine was unable to save, reopen it or try saving again.
Added
- Soul Mastery now appears beneath rank and prestige on public cell pages and in cell visits opened from the leaderboard.
- Your progress
- Existing saves, mastery levels, balances, and production bonuses are unchanged.
- What you need to do
- Reload to see Soul Mastery on public profiles.
Added
- Added Saber Kitten and Pterosaur Hatchling, each with five appearances and a fossil display earned after its second restoration.
- Added Cobalt and Pearl beetles, Amethyst and Glacier trilobites, Lagoon and Marigold dinosaurs, and Frost and Dusk mammoths.
Changed
- The fossil collection now has six species and 30 restorations. New finds favor the species you have discovered least, and your first six finds are different species.
- Prestige guarantees keep their existing milestones through P26, then continue every two prestiges through P62. Mining can still find fossils earlier.
- Your progress
- Your restored pets, appearances, saved names, waiting fossils, and restoration deadlines are kept. New appearances unlock by restoring more fossils. Restoration still costs 25 Scrap and takes 24 hours. Pets remain cosmetic.
- What you need to do
- Reload, then open Upgrades → Pets to restore fossils or Your cell → Pets to choose an unlocked companion.
Added
- Added a Pets tab beside Expand room and Decorate in Your cell. Pet controls are also available on the existing Pets page.
- Hover over a pet in your cell or a shared cell to see its name and appearance. You can also tap it or use keyboard focus.
- Each species now remembers its saved name when you hide it or switch to another pet.
Changed
- Restoration now shows a progress bar, percentage, and time remaining, with layouts for desktop and mobile.
- The companion editor shows the selected pet and its saved name, with name-rule feedback beside the form. Pet names use the same filter as miner names.
- Your progress
- Your fossils, unlocked appearances, and restoration deadlines are kept. Your current companion’s valid name is remembered; names already lost before this update cannot be recovered. Restoration still costs 25 Scrap and takes 24 hours. Pets remain cosmetic.
- What you need to do
- Reload to see the changes. Open Upgrades → Cell → Pets to manage your companion.
Put your Scrap into the Workshop
Got Scrap piling up? Build three permanent machines, upgrade their bonuses, and keep going for new appearances.
Added
- Added the Workshop at Prestige 50, with a preview from Prestige 40. Open it from Upgrades or Around the Mine.
- Added Clockwork Mole, Supply Crane, and Crystal Beacon projects. Spend Scrap to build and upgrade them instantly. Upgrade once or buy through the next milestone, with the full price shown before you spend.
- Added five appearances per machine at levels 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20. Switch back to any earned look for free; your bonuses stay the same.
- Added Clockwork Tinkerer, Freight Foreman, and Beacon Keeper titles at level 10, plus Masterwork plaques at level 20. Levels after 20 are cosmetic craftsmanship levels; the plaque records each ten-level milestone. They add no more power or machine appearances.
- Added View Workshop to public cells once a machine is built. Your Scrap balance stays private.
Balance
- Each Mole level through 10 adds 0.5 percentage points to mining, up to +5%, including ore-derived Cash and Souls. Each Beacon level through 10 adds 0.5 percentage points to Soul yield, up to +5%. Together they give +10.25% mining-derived Souls. Newly issued Soul pickups use the Beacon bonus; existing pickups keep their quoted reward.
- Each Crane level through 10 adds 24 minutes of offline mining, up to four extra hours. A maximum cell and Crane allow 20 hours away, up from the cell’s 16 hours.
- Buying level L costs 50 + 15 × (L − 1) + 2 × (L − 1)² Scrap. Each project costs 50 Scrap to build, 1,745 total through level 10, and 8,790 total through level 20. The same price curve continues for craftsmanship levels.
- Your progress
- Existing balances and earned rewards are kept. Workshop progress starts at zero, with no bonuses for past earnings. Machines, appearances, titles, and bonuses stay through prestige. Reset progress clears your Workshop along with your other progression.
- What you need to do
- Reload to use the new game version. At P50, open Upgrades → Workshop. Purchases open after the release checks; a paused message appears until then.
Changed
- The character and pickaxe, drill, and ore cart have been rearranged in each ward. Shadows and mining effects follow their new positions.
- Your progress
- Your save, equipment, progression, and production rates are unchanged.
- What you need to do
- Reload to see the updated mine layouts.
Added
- 4 × 4 cells unlock a second floor, shelf, wall, and bedside slot: eight decorations in total. The 5 × 4 cell keeps all eight slots.
- 5 × 5 cells unlock a third slot of each type, for twelve decorations in total. Choose each position in Cell → Decorate.
- Place owned pieces in multiple matching slots for free, or buy a basic decoration directly into your selected slot.
- Hover, focus, or tap a decoration in your cell or a visited cell to see its name and how to earn it.
- A fixed oak storage chest is included with 4 × 4 cells and remains in larger rooms. The 5 × 5 cell also includes a writing desk. These furnishings do not use decoration slots.
Changed
- Moved furnishings in the larger rooms. Your cell and shared preview use the same layout.
- Your progress
- Existing decorations remain equipped in their original slots. New slots start empty. Purchases and placements survive prestige; cell prices, offline allowances, and production are unchanged.
- What you need to do
- Reload, then open Cell → Decorate to fill your newly unlocked slots.
Added
- Open Invite a friend from Your miner, Settings, or Cell to create your permanent link and view invitation totals.
- A new miner can accept one invitation in the first 24 hours of starting their mine, including guest play. Save with Google or Discord, reach D4, and return signed in at least 24 hours after accepting to qualify. D4 and the return visit can happen in either order.
- One qualified friend earns the Friendship Lantern, three earn the Shared Shift pennant, and five earn the Little Crew diorama. The invited friend also earns the same lantern. Rewards unlock automatically and never replace equipped decorations.
- Your progress
- Friendship cosmetics and accepted invitations survive prestige and progress resets. Rewards do not affect production, currencies, or rankings. Mines that existed before this update can invite friends but cannot accept referral credit.
- What you need to do
- Reload and open Invite a friend. Guests must save their mine with Google or Discord before inviting others.
Added
- Open the header gear for automation, sound, tutorials, miner customization, account controls, and starting over.
- Short tutorials explain P10, P20, P30, P40, and P50. Returning miners receive one catch-up tour, with replay available in Settings.
Changed
- Automatic actions count toward contracts and community operations. In permanent A1, equipment contracts retire and paid prestiges count toward Tunnel Advance.
- Return summaries show automatic purchases and prestiges separately from earnings. The opening economy and cell offline allowances stay the same.
Balance
- P10 unlocks automatic ranks; P20 adds equipment. P30 adds automatic prestige and Super Breaker, and P40 adds Commissary. Every option starts off.
- Ranks, single equipment levels, and prestiges share one automatic action every five minutes. Automatic Super Breaker runs every 12 minutes; manual use keeps its four-minute cooldown.
- Your final climb into P50 retains A1, owned equipment, and unspent Cash. Later prestiges cost the displayed Cash price and continue awarding 30 Scrap. Existing P50+ miners enter this loop after completing their next climb.
- Your progress
- Your progress stays. Automation starts off; you have to enable it yourself. Finishing the tutorial doesn’t turn it on. You can still buy upgrades and use boosts manually.
- What you need to do
- Reload, review your milestone tutorial, and open Settings to choose your automation.
